Jakub Bartoszewicz is a bioinformatician and cognitive scientist by training. During his doctoral studies, he worked on interpretable deep learning for viral and microbial genomics/novel pathogen detection at the Robert Koch Institute and the Hasso Plattner Institute — Germany’s top public health and computer science research institutes. Supported by the most selective scholarships in Germany and Poland, he was able to develop a passion for the convergence of AI and synthetic biology.
