Ignacio Fuentes Ribas is the Executive Director of the MIT Jameel Clinic. He leads the Jameel Clinic in its aims to use AI technologies to change the landscape of healthcare and to develop a community committed to producing excellent research work in the fields of machine learning, biology, chemistry and clinical sciences.
His research interests lie at the intersection of technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and education, and focuses particularly on harnessing digital transformation and innovation to engineer superior customer journeys. He maintains a passion for new technologies, machine learning and block chain and is actively involved in the health-tech and fin-tech communities.
Fuentes Ribas completed his Bachelor’s in industrial engineering and operational research and Master’s in risk management, safety, prevention and ergonomics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, followed by an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is co-chair and board member of BSS Finance and Compensation Committee and a Directors and a member of the Chief Risk Officers Group (DCRO) Cyber Risk Governance council. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Digital Heath Transformation Initiative, AI Strategic Advisory Group.
