Dimitris Bertsimas

Entrepreneurship Faculty Lead

Dimitris Bertsimas is the Associate Dean of Business Analytics, the Boeing Professor of Operations Research, faculty director of the Master of Business Analytics program at MIT, and the Entrepreneurship faculty lead of Jameel Clinic.

His research focuses on optimization, machine learning, and applied probability, with applications in healthcare, finance, operations management, and transportation. Over the course of his career, Bertsimas has authored over 300 scientific papers and seven graduate-level textbooks.

Bertsimas received his MS and PhD in Operations Research at MIT in 1987 and 1988, respectively. Since 1988, he has been a member of MIT faculty.
